Educational qualifications in KVS PGT eligibility include both academic as well as professional qualifications. Academic qualification involves formal learning in a university such as a bachelor’s and master’s degree whereas professional qualification involves practical training and certification in a specific field such as teacher training.

Age relaxation is a term that refers to the extension of the upper age limit for candidates belonging to certain categories who are applying for KVS PGT eligibility. Age relaxation is granted to provide equal opportunities to candidates who face social or economic disadvantages.

KVS PGT Eligibility Regarding B.Ed

To become a PGT teacher, a master’s degree in the subject is required, and a B.Ed. is compulsory except for subjects like Computer Science, Commerce, and Biotechnology.

Note: Candidates having only a Special B.ed are not eligible for the PGT Post. For subsequent promotion, the incumbent will have to acquire a B.Ed or Equivalent degree.

KVS PGT Eligibility in Mode of Selection

The recruitment authority will select candidates after evaluating their suitability for the KVS PGT eligibility in advertised vacancies in the selection process through:

    • Of course, You are eligible for PGT if you did your post graduation from IGNOU or any equivalent universities recognized by Govt of India with an aggregate of 50%, makes you eligible. Hope this helps
