EMRS Syllabus 2023: Unveiling the Vibrant Spectrum

Sharing is caring!

To begin with, the most fundamental principle of preparing for EMRS exam is to look back at the EMRS syllabus and its eligibility criteria carefully. This helps us to be vigilant and focused, and constantly reminds us of important portions to be covered with our best possible strategies. Isn’t it? Do you know? The KVS PGT syllabus is fully synonymous with EMRS PGT Syllabus.

So, before proceeding further, let’s examine the objective of EMRS. Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) are established to provide quality education for Class VI to XII students belonging to the ST category. These schools are set up at block level as residential schools and have separate hostels for boys and girls, accommodation for teachers, a mess facility, a playground, and all other amenities in line with Navodaya Vidyalayas.

EMRS Exam Pattern

In the case of teaching staff (PGTs) selection for EMRS (Eklavya Model Residential Schools) exams, the final selection is based solely on the marks obtained in the written (OMR Based) test, and therefore there is no interview. It consists of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions. Each question carries a “01” mark, and the duration of the written test is 180 minutes, without any time limit for each part individually. However, in the test, there are separate sections for English and Hindi, each consisting of 10 marks. These sections are qualifying in nature, and their marks will not be added to the overall score for the merit list. Therefore, for the merit list, a total of 130 questions will be considered.

During the evaluation, one mark (1) will be awarded for every correct answer, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Unanswered questions will not be given any marks.
